About

Elections - Associated Students Inc.
ASI Student Government strives to give Cal Poly students the opportunity to be leaders, grow professionally, and be active members in their community. ASI Elections are held annually in the spring quarter and determine student leadership positions for the following academic year. Elected representatives include the ASI President and the ASI Board of Directors.

Responsible Voters Guide (RVG)

The goal of RVG is to advance social and environmental justice at Cal Poly by highlighting candidates for ASI elections who will make this a priority. As Cal Poly's #1 (first and only) ASI Elections Voter Guide, we are excited to forge the way for increased student participation in ASI elections.

Our 3 step process for selecting the candidates was approved by an open committee with student representatives from across campus.

1. Candidates complete a questionnaire developed from input from across campus.

This year we included questions submitted from Students Influencing Curriculum, Mustangs United for Israel, Society of American Foresters, and Empower Poly Coalition

2. Interviews with the Candidates are conducted by student representatives from across campus.

3. Candidates are approved by the Committee based on their responses to the questionnaire and experience during the interview.
